Great pub that's also an active railway station, a good stop-off on an 'ale trail' between Wolves and Shrewsbury.Always some good beer on and decent bar food too. Personally I prefer the 'cosier' end of the pub near the fireplace, the other end lacks atmosphere for me and maybe needs a bit of music.Very friendly place!
Only a brief visit for a quick drink to pick my husband and son up from the train station.My husband said his beer was good and a decent range of soft drinks.The pub was very busy with a wide selection of clientele ranging from the serious afternoon drinkers and families with young children and rail travellers.The decor was very much railway memorabilia orientated- what else when it's called The Station and the train platform can be seen through the windows!
Always a lovely bustling atmosphere. The staff are friendly and it's lovely if you want to do some train spotting. Never had a meal there but the prices are reasonable.
